Integrate Kisi with Rhombus Systems

As a Kisi admin, you can integrate your place with Rhombus Systems' security cameras. Before setting up the integration, make sure you have API access to your Rhombus Systems cameras.

Prerequisites

• a Rhombus Systems account
• Kisi administrator access rights
• at least one camera set up in the location

Configure the integration in Kisi

1. Sign in to Kisi
2. Click the integrations icon (3x3 grid of dots) > Add Integration
3. Open the Type dropdown and select Rhombus
4. Click Add then Configure Integration
5. Open the Accounts tab and click Add Account
6. Enter a Key Name and click Generate Private Key and CSR
7. In the popup, fill in the required fields then click Generate
8. Click Download CSR file to download the certificate request file
9. Open the file and copy the full text

Configure the integration in Rhombus

1. Sign in to your Rhombus account as an Administrator
2. On your dashboard, choose the cogwheel in the top right corner
3. Navigate to Integrations and Developer Resources
4. Navigate to the API Tokens tab
5. Click Add API Key
6. Add a name and select a role
7. Paste the certificate request file from Kisi into the popup and click Submit
8. Copy the Rhombus API Key and download the signed certificate (in a .crt file).

Authenticating Rhombus credentials on Kisi

1. In the Accounts tab, click Continue
2. Click Upload Signed Certificate and select the previously downloaded signed certificate
3. Paste the Rhombus API Key
4. Click Save and Close. If all credentials are correct, you should see the snackbar "Account updated successfully!"

Adding a Rhombus camera to Kisi

1. Switch to Cameras tab
2. Click Add Camera
3. Using the dropdowns, select Camera, Place, and Door then hit Save

In Kisi, you can only connect at most one door to a camera, but doors might have multiple cameras associated.

Supported events for camera snapshots

Once the integration is set up, camera footage will appear in the Event History, marked with a camera icon. Snapshots will be created on the following Kisi events:

• Door unlocked (lock.unlock)
• Door unlock failed (lock.unlock)
• Door opened (lock.opened)
• Door held open (lock.held_open)
• Door forced open (lock.forced_open)
• Tailgating incident (incident.create)

Deassign cameras

1. Sign in to Kisi
2. Navigate to the place where you have your camera assigned
3. On the dashboard, click on Hardware
4. Select the Cameras tab
5. Click on the camera that you wish to deassign
6. Click on Delete Camera in the top right corner
7. If you are planning to reassign this camera, click on Copy Token to save the device token
8. Click Delete

After deletion, you will receive an email notification confirming that the corresponding camera has been deassigned.
